Functions of Catalogues’ Organization Department of City Central Library after Av. Isahakayan


    With the help of Information System / different types of catalogues / all the groups    of readers are provided with directory - bibliographic services, and the bibliographic    knowledge is disseminated. The main purpose of Information System is to introduce    the reader to the overall library fund including books, audiovisual and printed    materials.
Catalogues are meant to give comprehensive answers about the fund available in the library.

      • the service is performed with the help of classic catalog and automated electronic systems, which is regularly updated with both classic and electronic cards of new arrived literature.
      • department helps readers to navigate easily in the Catalogs’ System by giving them correct bibliographic knowledge.
      • during each month an accounting of ordered and rejected leaflets takes place in order to enrich the Fund with current and retrospective supplements.
