Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Death of Hamastegh

    On November 28, 2016 City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan hosted an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of death of Armenian Diaspora writer Hamastegh. The speaker of the event was PhD of Philological Sciences Margarit Khachatryan.
The audience was given a chance to listen to some extracts from Hamastegh’s works read by expert in Western Armenian and Diaspora literature Kamo Der-Petrossian. Speeches were made by YSU professor, Candidate of Philological Sciences Karine Mikayelyan, writer Gohar Galstian, writer, public speaker, Toros Toranian, expert in “Narek” Ashot Petrosian and others.
Musical numbers were performed by singer, songwriter Arsen Hambaryan and guitar player Tamara Atanesyan.
The closing speech was made by Margarit Khachatryan, who read his open letter to Hamastegh.
