In the framework of “Children’s Literature and Music Week”


    On March 30, 2016 in the framework of “Children’s Literature and Music Week” the first round of the competition “Learning about Great Armenians-Hovhannes Toumanyan” took place at the Yerevan City Central Library. The aim of the competition was to aspire greater interest in students of the ages 12 to 15 towards the great writer and his works. The competing teams were team “Artutik” of Technical Library Department, “Vernatoun” of Art Library Department, “Akhtamar” of the 15th library brunch, “Parvana” of the 21st library brunch and “Descendents of Toumanian” of the 29th library brunch. The head of the jury was Deputy Director of the Yerevan City Central Library Ruzanna Barseghyan. Jury members were writers Liparit Sargsyan, and the head of the YCCL Marine’ Khazaryan. They greeted and wished good luck to the teams. The competition started with the screening of the cartoon “The Cat and The Dog” devoted to the 130th anniversary of ballade. The campetition was strong and the winner was team “Artutik”. The host of the competiton was PR and event planning depart librarian Angin Avoyan.
