Levon Azroyan


    On November 17, 2015 the presentation of the book "They Forged the Victory" by writer, journalist Levon Azroyan took place at the YCCL. This event was visited by many readers, journalists and guests. It stated with a video clip devoted to the 70th anniversary of the victory in Great Patriotic War. The writer was greeted and congratulated by the director of the YCCL, Honorary Worker of Culture Hasmik Karapetian, the director of Armenpress Aram Ananian, TV journalist Aftandil Grigorian, radio journalist, the editor of "+ Kino" journal Robert Matevosian, director, journalist Garik Ghazarian, USSR hero Vachagan Vantsian's grandson Armen Abrahamian. The latter mentioned in his speech; "My great grandfather sacrificed himself for the wellbeing and prosperity of our nation. But the idea of Pan-Turkism still exists and its followers still cherish the dreams of destroying Armenian. But let our enemy know that we are the true descendents of our predecessor and we are awake ever minute to protect our country. There is a well known fact: the nation that doesn’t know its past cannot have a future. This is the reason that such books about our heroes help to up bring our youth and for that I’m grateful to Mr. Azroyan". At the end of the event the author greeted and thanked all his guests for kind words. Next he spoke about the heroes of the USSR and read an extract from his new book. The presented part was from his interview with Martial Baghramian’s daughter- Margarita Baghramian.
