“The Best Reader of the Year” and “The School with the Most Readers”


    The Announcements of the competitions “The Best Reader of the Year” and “The School with the Most Readers” On April 1, 2015 in the framework of “The Children's literature and music week” the results of the competitions “The Best Reader of the Year” and “The School with the Most Readers” 2014 took place in the YCCL.The winners of “The Best Reader of the Year” nomination were: from the 29th library-branch of A. Isahakyan CNCO Jasmin Khachatryan, from the Technical literature branch Anoush Titanyan, from the 21st l/b Mariam Minasyan, from the Childen's literature Department Nane' Stepanyan, from the 33th l/b Karapet Qaramyan and Meri Ghoulyan, from the 27th l/b Gevorg Hovhannisian, from the 36th l/b Suzanna Tonoyan, from the 15th l/b Artur Sedrakyan, from the 28th l/b Nune' Aleqyan and from the Art literature branch after G. G. Byron Meri Avoyan. Poet, writer Liparit Sargsyan, writer Suren Mouradian, writer Hasmik Ajamyan, writer, public speaker, translator, the editor of “The Ninth Wonder” weekly Vachagan Sargsyan and the executive publisher of the “Yeter” weekly Gayane' Yengoyan were there to congratulate the winners and to present them their books. The Director of the library Hasmik Karapetyan congratulated the winners as well and presented them with diplomas and books. During recent years the library has developed a custom to mark not only the best readers but also “The School with the Most Readers”. The first place of the nomination was taken by the school №55 after A. Chekhov (director G. Saroukhanyan), the second was the school №54 after M. Khajouny (director Etery Petrosyan) and the third was the school №130 (director Armine’ Hovhannisian). Hasmik Karapetyan presented each of the school representatives with diplomas and books. She noticed that the aim of these competitions is to stimulate the intercourse between school and library.
