Presentation of the book “Ara J. Berkian” by Lisa Berkian-Abrahamian

    On September 11, 2014 the presentation of the book “Ara J. Berkian” by Armenian -German writer and journalist Lisa Berkian-Abrahamian took place in YCCL. The book is about Armenian-German architect, sculptor, painter and philanthropist Ara Berkian’s life and work. The author was congratulated by the director of “Museum of Musa Ler’s Defense History and Ethnography of Musa Ler’s People”, the editor of the book, PhD of Philology Davit Sargsian, writer Gor Harutiunian, journalist Irina Krpeyan-Barseghian, Cultural Historian, PhD of History Lavrenity Barseghian, Armenologist, Chronicler Argam Ayvazian, pilot Valentin Nazarian, journalist Aram Adamian. Liza Berkian was presented with special gifts by writer, publicist Hrachia Matevosian. The director of YCCL Hasmik Karapetian was happy to see the “birth” of a new book and mentioned the importance of representing the work of this honored person and devotee of his nation. Some bites of book were recited by actress Gayane Samvelian. The presentation was concluded by the author of the book Lisa Berkian-Abrahamian.
