On September 18, 2020 at 12:00 the City Central Library in collaboration with Moscow cultural and business center Dom Moskvi, opened a new Russian Center on Tigran Mets 30. The new center was opened with the support of Yerevan Municipality. “Education is a key component in having a developed country. We are happy that this new center will allow young people to learn more about Russian language and literature. It provides up do date information about Russia as well as learning materials. It is another step towards strengthening the collaboration between Moscow and Yerevan Municipality”, - said Vahram Karapetyan, the director of Dom Moskvi. “The times have changed and so has the role of the libraries. It is more than a place where one can find books. It has turned into a platform, where various nations can meet and share their culture. The Russian Center of City Central Isahakyan library is created to meet the needs of visitor interested in Russian culture and literature. We are glad to see this collaboration between Yerevan Municipality and Dom Moskvi come to life in the form of this center”,- said the director of Isahakyan Library and Honored Worker of Culture Hasmik Karapetyan.
