"TechnoLab" Opening Ceremony

    The Yerevan American Corner is expanding the range of its activities with a new technological center-TechnoLab. The center was opened today by the U.S. Ambassador Lynne Tracy, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan and the director of City Central Isahakyan Library Hasmik Karapetyan. In her speech Ambassador Tracy stated: “United States and Armenia share the view that STEM education is critical for young people to succeed in our increasingly interconnected global society.” The TechnoLab has a mission to contribute to STEM education by giving its visitors free access to computers, 3D printers, 3D doodlers, programing and robotics toolkits. Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, remembering his childhood, said: “I’m happy that today young people have this opportunity to not only play outdoor games, but also come to this wonderful center and spend their time here”. Hasmik Karapetyan added that the center will provide services not only for young people from Yerevan, but also from regions of Armenia.
