    Since 2008 on the initiative of the Government of RA and the president of the Writers Union of Armenia Levon Ananyan February 19 the birthday of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan is celebrated as “Book presenting day”. At the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan this holiday has become a tradition. Every year on this day the library staff prepares a surprise for its patrons and this year was no exception. Within the frames of “Library presents” program pieces of classic and modern literature were donated to the library patrons. Within the frames of “Friend of the library” program the director of the City Central library after Isahakyan, Honorary worker of the Culture of RA Hasmik Karapetyan presented awards to several donors of the library for their contribution in the library fundreplenishment. All day long videosdevoted to Hovhannes Tumanyan’s birthday were displayed at the library video gallery.
