"Librarian Day" at the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan


    The hall of the City Central Library was crowded and full of various events.Creative works of librarians were shown entitled "When Librarians Create".The lobby of the library was full of different kinds of books ,which the library gave to the readers.All day long,films dedicated to the history of the Isahakyan Library were shown in the foyer.At the hall of the Library took place the opening of writer-publicist Ruzan Asatryan's book-fund.
She donated part of her personal book collection to the library. During the event, a film was shown dedicated to Ruzan Asatryan entitled "Msho Girl" directed by the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan.The director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Karapetyan made an opening speech.Poet, translator, public speaker Levon Blbulyan, historian Anzhela Teryan, president of the International Business Relations Union Mariam Manukyan, and journalist Mari Petrosyan also made speeches.Actress Gayane Samvelyan read works of Ruzan Asatryan. Then at the hall of the library took place a matinee entitled "Friend of the Library".
The director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Karapetyan gave Certificates to a library friends for their great contribution to the replenishment of the library fund.
Representative of the Russian Federation in Armenia, Lieutenant- General G.I. Hakobyan presented an honorary certificate to the director of the library for supporting non-governmental organizations and actively cooperating with them, and a certificate of gratitude to the library staff for active work.
Within the framework of the "Librarian Day" program, at the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan took place a literary-musical matinee dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Yeghishe Charents. A video prepared by the Ishakyan Library was shown from the "One page" series, excerpts from Yerkir Nairi's poem.Actress Gayane Samvelyan read from the works of Charents.
