The reading marathon

    On April 9, within the framework of the "National Library Week" program, according to the marathon tradition, at the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Armenia, took place R. J. Palacio's "Wonder" novel aloud reading marathon, which was attended by many representatives of the libraries from different regions of Armenia, readers, partners․ The event was opened by the director of the City Central Library after Av. Isahakyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Karapetyan. Throughout the day, famous writers, scientists, artists read sections from Palacio's novel "Wonder" in Armenian and English languages. US Ambassador in Armenia Lynn M. Tracy visited the library and participated in the reading marathon. The "City Library"the theater group of Charentsavan community, led by Araksya Balbabyan, presented interesting episodes in the library hall from Palacio's novel "Wonder". The students of the Hakob Kojoyan Art School in "Isahakyan Park" expressed R.J. Palacio’s book melodies of the kindness.
